Figure Drawing is the ultimate key to art. Because the human figure is a study in geometry, drawings of the human body communicate ideas about the nature of humanity. Our bodies represent the human condition . . . emotions, living, excitement, expressions, manner of dress and geometric shapes, the way nature created each individual person. My drawings focus on form, space, composition, proportion, line, light and dark.

Much of my art attempts to capture a thought, a moment, or an expression. The shape, the line, the form . . . catches the eye. Spacing, composition, proportion . . . expands the excitement, Lightness, darkness, and color flesh out the drawing to show that art is therapy for the mind and soul.
